SSP Turning Point™

Henry David Thoreau said “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.”  If you are quietly anxious to release that song, or just feeling the normal angst and self-reflection which is a by-product of middle age, then SSP’s Turning Point may be just what you need to regain harmony in your life.  Turning Point creates a space for people to develop career and life strategies that free them to live and work courageously through unavoidably turbulent times.  Because many people approaching retirement will enjoy good health and vitality for another 30 or 40 years, there’s actually room for another whole lifetime!  Aging Baby Boomers aren’t ready for rocking chairs; they want to start new companies/careers, or dare to try something they’ve always dreamed of.  Turning Point will help you triumph over uncertainty and maybe even chase your dreams into reality. Career Direction Seminars for College Graduates and Early Careerists

If you have children who are new or recent graduates at the threshold of a new career, this one-day seminar could go a long way towards starting them on the right foot.  The seminar provides an up-to-date overview of the employment marketplace; skills, interests and temperament assessments; tips on networking; and effective job interview techniques.  Participants are given a demonstration and password to use SSP’s online OI Solutions technology for three months.  Each individual leaves with a plan for career success and a comprehensive job search manual.  This is an incredible opportunity to give early careerists the best possible chance at starting a career poised for success.  (Contact Duncan Ferguson at dferguson@sspcorp.net for more information)

Options and Issues for Retirement and Life’s Transitions

Whether it’s a new direction, a volunteer opportunity, R & R, or a combination of all of these, SSP has developed a way to assist you in planning for the exciting years ahead.  Our program is geared for pre-retirees and early retirees who want to make the most out of what’s next in their lives.

The SSP Retirement Program has been designed to assist you in these ways:

*Formulate a personal definition of “success” for your late career or retirement years.

*Answer the critical questions of what you want to BE, HAVE, and DO in the next phase of your life.

*Understand the importance of bold, possibility thinking in planning for transition and retirement.

*Identify the connection between financial planning/well-being and retirement planning/well-being.

Our Program is presented in two parts. In part one of this program, you will focus on life style issues, questions, and possibilities that impact satisfaction with your transition into the retirement years or a late career redirection.  Within part two, the content centers on financial and other realities that affect these choices. For further information on this service, contact Mike Broscio at 847 940-7500.
